Has anyone tried resveratrol? I heard it was good for alzheimers, but because it is not approved by fda, we haven’t been told about this.
i would like to use this for my mother, please let me know if anyone has tried this.
I did try this on my husband but it didn’t seem to make a any difference, however I do use it myself as it seems to give me a bit more energy . I think that Jean from Wales uses it for he husband but not sure if it has helped him, no doubt when she reads your question she will answer it for you.
Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful, Jocelyn 🙄
Sorry this response is not very timely, but I hadn’t seen the question before.
I author the site:
and have done extensive research on Resveratrol. I also try to stay abreast of every study done or being done on resveratrol world-wide (quite a task, I must say).
I’ve included on my resveratrol research page (http://www.benefits-of-resveratrol.com/anti-aging-discoveries.html) several studies done regarding alzheimers disease. The most promising one links resveratrol to one of the genes they believe to be responsible for alzheimers.
Apparently resveratrol can block the communication to the brain from that and thus, they believe, may be a path to eliminating Alzheimers.
However, I haven’t seen any study regarding resveratrol reducing the signs or symptoms of alzheimers, only the possibility that it could lead to prevention.
thank you, I will look at the website.
Resveratrol is the biggest hype in the supplement world. So far it proved to be only a testtube wonder
For more info:
Resveratrol Don’t Buy the Hype
Or Visit the Linus Pauling Institute:
They come to the following conclusion (most resveratrol studies come to the same conclusion)
“At present, relatively little is known about the effects of resveratrol in humans.”
