My mum has just been diagnosed and I,m suddenly aware of my shortcomings, you may not hear a lot from me but rest assured I will be here in the first instance satifying my need for knowledge

Hi Mike

My mum was diagnosed last year at 52 and like you I am so aware of my shortcomings and am trying to use my thirst for knowledge to be a better daughter to my mum and help her as much as possible.

In Brisbane, Australia all our energy at the moment is focused on fighting centrelink as they don’t think she is disabled enough to go on a disability pension. This is causing so much undue stress for her and it makes me so mad at the system.

Hoping to chat with a few people and learn so much as I can see I will be coming here frequently to gain more insight.
